From entering engineering to building real-world projects, competing in hackathons, and gaining industry experience — here's my path in tech so far.
My journey into programming began in 12th grade when I wrote my very first "Hello, World!" program in C++. It was a simple program, but seeing words appear on the screen because of code I had written sparked something in me. That small moment turned curiosity into a passion, inspiring me to explore programming, solve problems, and eventually pursue software development as a career.

Stepping into St. Francis Institute of Technology (SFIT) marked the beginning of my engineering journey. It was here that I started exploring computer science beyond textbooks, connected with like-minded peers, and embraced opportunities to learn, collaborate, and grow as a developer. College became the foundation for transforming my passion for coding into practical skills and real-world problem-solving.

My first year at St. Francis Institute of Technology was dedicated to building a strong foundation in programming and computer science. Beyond the classroom, I explored C++, Java, databases, and web development while applying theoretical concepts through hands-on coding. Every assignment, coding challenge, and small project strengthened my problem-solving skills, deepened my curiosity, and helped me discover my passion for building technology that solves real-world problems.

Participating in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 Grand Finale at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong was one of the most transformative experiences of my engineering journey. Working alongside my team, we developed Nirogya, an AI-powered Smart Community Health Monitoring & Early Warning System designed to address real-world healthcare challenges. Competing on a national platform pushed me to think critically, innovate under tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively with my teammates. Beyond the competition, the experience broadened my perspective on how technology can create meaningful social impact while strengthening my confidence as a developer.

After SIH, I wanted to keep challenging myself, so I participated in a Google Developer Groups Hackathon. Unlike my first hackathon, I felt more confident walking in. I enjoyed brainstorming ideas, building quickly with my teammates, and learning from the people around me. Every hackathon reminded me that the best part isn't just the final product—it's the conversations, the collaboration, and discovering new ways to solve problems.

One of the highlights of 2026 was being selected for the Cere Labs Centre of Excellence in Data Science at St. Francis Institute of Technology. It felt rewarding to see my efforts recognized and to earn the opportunity to be part of a program focused on Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Although my journey with the Centre has only just begun, I'm excited to learn from industry experts, explore new technologies, and make the most of this opportunity.
Dedicated myself to mastering Data Structures & Algorithms, strengthening development skills, and preparing for software engineering placements.
